1st – 30th June / Everywhere

Nature is good for us! Go wild this June and get out and about in aid of the Surrey Wildlife Trust. For the entire month of June, the wildlife charity is imploring all, young and old to experience nature on a daily basis. Whether it be walking in the wet grass barefoot, counting the spiders in the shed or watching the sun rise over the Surrey Hills – get connected to nature and feel happier and healthier. Camberley Carnival

17th June / London Road Recreation Ground, Camberley

Celebrate in style at Camberley Carnival this June. Join the procession from Knoll Road from 12.30pm and follow the crowds to the festivities taking place at London Road Recreation Ground. Sandcastle Competition

24th June / Godstone Farm

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, but sometimes the hour’s journey in the car with howls of ‘are we there yet?’ can occasionally be forgoed. For your fix of sandcastle construction head to Godstone Farm and enter their rather super Sandcastle Competition in aid of the Sandcastle Trust, raising money for families affected by rare genetic conditions.

Farnham Carnival

24th June / Farnham

Farnham Carnival takes over the town on the last Saturday of the month. Dating back as far as 1923, this historical carnival is organised by the Farnham Lions. Live music and entertainment can be expected during the day with the procession kicking off at around 6pm.

Dragon Boat Race

25th June / Goldsworth Lake, Woking

Guildford Raft Race

1st July / Mill Mead – Stoughton, River Way, Guildford

Ore’s at the ready as Guildford’s annual raft race returns to the banks of the River Wey. Running for over 40 years, the raft race see’s teams from around the town build their own seaworthy (or not so seaworthy) rafts to sail down the River Wey all the while raising money for charity.

Festival of Flight
