Mini piling rigs is a key part of any construction project and is often the only solution where ground conditions are problematic or deep foundations are impractical. For several reasons, larger piling rigs may not always be the most compatible with adverse ground and site conditions – in these instances mini piles can be used to help achieve your project requirements and allow for a more robust construction to take place.
Piles can be installed for a range of projects including; extensions to homes, underpinning existing structures, office and industrial units for mezzanine floors and to support heavy machinery. They are also used to strengthen bridges, retaining walls and all types of foundations for road and rail infrastructure.
Exploring Mini Piling Rigs: Types and Features
When working in confined spaces or restricted access it is important to make sure the right equipment is in place. Our mini rigs are ideal for these sites and offer high levels of performance, despite their small size. They can be easily positioned in tight locations and work well on site with minimal disturbance/vibration to existing structures and buildings during the installation of piles.
Designed for installing driven piles, the Cobra piling rigs have a compact design and are able to operate in areas with low headroom or restricted access, such as through doorways and gateways. They are available with a choice of base unit sizes and mast lengths to suit various weights and pile-driving requirements. It’s important that a safe set-down area is established within reach of the rig and that all personnel operating the equipment are fully aware of the risks associated with their job function. Arrangements should also be made for a competent person to review and sign off the Risk Assessment, the Working Platform Certificate and all operational controls prior to commencing work.
